Make at MADE Featuring Lafayette Avenue Ceramics

We hosted another amAZing #MakeatMADE workshop on Thursday evening, this time with the talented Lafayette Avenue Ceramics. Each participant got to hand glaze a catchall bowl and ring holder made by artist Jillian Schimmel.

We were so impressed by how much creativity we saw from everyone! Some participants drew shapes like flowers or cacti with the glaze, while others went geometric with chevrons or stripes. While the shapes of the pottery were the same, each piece ended up unique to the personality of the artist who created them!

At the end of the night, Jillian took home all of the items to fire in her kiln. It will be exciting to see the finished product after the firing process transforms the glaze into vibrant and glossy colors! Attendees can pick up their items next week.

If you werent able to make it to this workshop, never fear! We've got lots more fun and creative activities lined up for fall, so make sure to visit our workshop section to sign up!
